Gourmet Kosher Bakery Susan Sez “Say It With Cake™”
Opening on July 18 on NYC’s Upper West Side
Say It With Cake™, a decadent world of kosher desserts, is opening on New York’s Upper West Side on July 18, 2012 according to Susan Berlin, Chef/Owner.
Say It With Cake™, bakes gourmet cakes, pastries and cookies from the finest all natural ingredients. The dessert menu includes Almond Horns dipped in Belgian Callebaut chocolate, Susan’s famous Carrot Cake with Tofutti Cream Cheese frosting, scrumptious tart Lemon Squares, moist Buttermilk Pound Cake and biscotti, the perfect breakfast pastry. All are freshly baked in small batches, without preservatives, to capture the essence of homemade. “Say It With Cake™”, according to Berlin, “offers more than just an amazing variety of fabulous cupcakes.”
Susan Berlin, Pastry Chef and Owner, studied at The Institute of Culinary Education in New York City and graduated as an accredited Pastry Chef in 2006, after a successful career in the fashion industry. Susan perfected her skills and expanded her creativity at Seasons, a NYC kosher supermarket, where Susan built her fan base.
Desserts are available by the slice as well as by the cake. Their Coffee Bar, with hot beverages and choice of breakfast treats, is a great way to start the day. Grand opening specials for the week of July 18 include a free coffee with a minimum $5.00 purchase.
Say It With Cake™ offers both dairy and parve desserts as well as some nut-free and dairy-free options; kosher certification is provided by OK. The bakery sells to both retail and wholesale customers and will be expanding into e-commerce at the end of the year.
